Santa Teresa in Costa Rica can be described as a kind of "Peter Pan land". A place where time seems to stand still and the magic of the moment takes over. A place where we can play again, because as adults, we stopped playing along the way. It’s a vibrant Neverland on the Pacific coast with surfing, yoga, and good food.

Locals and travelers mix freely. Nature is everywhere, and conversations are genuine and curious. Breathtaking sunrises and sunsets illuminate the landscape, enhancing the atmosphere.

What is Santa Teresa to us? A second home. Not a home where you own a house, but a sense of belonging. We can’t quite explain it ourselves, but it’s a feeling that the three of us experienced independently.

You savor the little things. You ride your bike through the dust to the beach, and you feel like you can take on the world. You cross rivers and jungle trails on a quad. You gift yourself, every day, a sunrise or sunset. Above you, howler monkeys swing from branch to branch, raising their voices as the sun comes up.

There’s nowhere else you need to be. You move through the jungle, the beach, the ocean, and the streets of this small Costa Rican village. And you feel freer than ever.

Our Home in Santa Teresa:
”House of Shakti”

Our home during the Retreat is House of Shakti, a private lodge nestled in the lush jungle of Santa Teresa. Located on a hill close to the dreamy beach of Playa Hermosa. The perfect balance of peace and vibrancy.

The first morning light paints the jungle in shades of soft pink and you wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and tropical birds. We spend the day in line with the natural rhythm of the day and ending them under glowing sunsets.

House of Shakti offers us the space to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and share meaningful moments together.

It’s not just accommodation. It’s our sanctuary, our gathering place, and the heart of your retreat experience.

House of Shakti is located only 5 minutes by car from Playa Hermosa's & Santa Teresa’s pristine shores in Costa Rica. Inspired by Moroccan design and embraced by tropical wilderness, House of Shakti features elegant suites surrounding a sparkling saltwater pool.

The house has an open-concept living space that creates the perfect setting for connection.

The entire house is exclusively rented by us for the whole retreat.
